David B. McConnell

Dave McConnell is a shareholder and director of Perkins Thompson. His practice areas include litigation, where his emphasis is on products liability, antitrust law and intellectual property. Mr. McConnell serves as a mediator, arbitrator and early neutral evaluator. He also practices administrative law, working with state and local government agencies on behalf of his clients. He also assists clients with issues relating to document retention and privacy policies.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. McConnell was an acquisitions editor for a multinational scholarly publisher, where he acquired doctoral-level monographs and journals in the academic disciplines of business and economics.
At the University of Virginia School of Law, Mr. McConnell was awarded the Dana H. Rowe Memorial Scholarship. He was Articles Development Editor of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal in 1994-1995. Mr. McConnell is active in the Maine State Bar Association and is a former Chair of the Young Lawyers Section. He is Director and past President of the Board of Directors for the Nathan and Henry B. Cleaves Law Library.
Mr. McConnell is past Chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Falmouth. He is Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of Choices Are For Everyone, Inc., serving the developmentally disabled. He is a past Board Member/Secretary of the Atlantic Chamber Orchestra and past Vice-President of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Maine.
He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.
