Fred Bopp's practice focuses on bankruptcy, reorganizations, the pursuit and enforcement of and creditors' and debtors' rights and the representation of various parties in a wide range of insolvency and invalidation proceedings and out-of-court workouts, including the representation of financial institutions and other secured and unsecured creditors inside and outside of bankruptcy cases as well as serving as counsel to Creditors' Committees, Chapter 11 debtors, and several Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees in Maine and Massachusetts. Mr. Bopp has appeared before the bankruptcy courts in the Districts of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York. His practical experience also includes collections, evictions, and repossessions, as well as the full spectrum of civil litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Bopp is a shareholder and director of Perkins Thompson, and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Bopp was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2008 (copyright 2007 by Woodward/White, Inc. of Aiken, S.C.), in the field of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law for Maine. Mr. Bopp is AV Peer Review Rated for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Bopp is a Maine Bar Foundation Fellow, and past General Committee Member of the Cumberland County Bar Association. He is a member of the Cumberland County, Maine, New Hampshire, and American Bar Associations. Mr. Bopp is a member of the Maine State Bar Association's Bankruptcy & Reorganization Section, and a member of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law. Mr. Bopp is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Bopp is a member of the Dartmouth Lawyers Association, and a former President of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Maine. He is a trustee of the Bopp Family Charitable Foundation (1998 to present).
