Paul D. Pietropaoli
Paul Pietropaoli is a shareholder and director of Perkins Thompson and is the current Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department. Mr. Pietropaoli’s practice focuses on a wide range of real estate matters, including commercial, industrial, and residential real estate transactions. For over twenty years, Mr. Pietropaoli has worked extensively with owners, buyers and tenants of commercial and industrial properties, individual residential and commercial land owners, real estate brokers, property managers, and many businesses throughout the region in the successful sale, purchase, development, and leasing of properties. In addition to negotiating real estate transaction documents, he regularly advises clients on real estate, land use, and environmental matters during the due diligence phase of mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Pietropaoli also practices in the area of brownfields redevelopment, where he regularly works with clients to minimize their liability risk. He also advises clients on entity formation and general business matters.

Mr. Pietropaoli is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maine State Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association, and the International Right of Way Association. He is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, and New Hampshire, and with the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.

Prior to joining Perkins Thompson, Mr. Pietropaoli served as a law clerk to Hon. Caroline D. Glassman, Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of Maine. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Pineland Farms, Inc. He has also served as an instructor for the Maine chapter of the American Institute of Banking and as a volunteer coach for youth soccer and youth lacrosse.
