The Litigation Practice Group includes a successful practice concentration in employment and labor law. Our litigators regularly represent clients in discrimination, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour claims before state and federal administrative bodies as well as federal and state courts.
With increasing regulation in the employment area, employment decisions are subject to increased scrutiny and can create exposure for employers, leading to claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and/or violations of wage and hours laws. When forced to defend these decisions, our litigators are prepared to lead employers successfully through the adversarial process. Our experienced and responsive litigators are committed to providing our clients with a zealous defense while not losing sight of the importance of cost-effective results.
We are admitted to practice in numerous jurisdictions and have handled matters in state and federal courts and before state and federal administrative agencies, including the EEOC, OSHA, USDOL, and state human rights agencies.
The lead attorney on the employment litigation team is Dawn Harmon, who practices in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire and has experience defending discrimination, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour claims before state human rights commissions, and state and federal courts.
