Fred Bopp's practice focuses on bankruptcy, reorganizations, the pursuit and enforcement of creditors' and debtors' rights, and the representation of various parties in a wide range of insolvency and reorganization proceedings and out-of-court workouts, including the representation of financial institutions and other secured and unsecured creditors inside and outside of bankruptcy cases. Mr. Bopp regularly serves as counsel to Creditors' Committees, Chapter 11 debtors, and several Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees in Maine and Massachusetts. Mr. Bopp has appeared before the bankruptcy courts in the Districts of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York. His practice experience also includes significant commercial collections, evictions, and repossessions, either in the exercise of self-help remedies or by way of the pursuit of civil litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Bopp is a shareholder and director of Perkins Thompson, and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Bopp is AV Peer Review Rated for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Bopp was also selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2008 (copyright 2007 by Woodward/White, Inc. of Aiken, S.C.), in the field of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law for Maine, and in New England Super Lawyers (2008) in the field of Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights.

Mr. Bopp is a Maine Bar Foundation Fellow, and past General Committee Member of the Cumberland County Bar Association. He is a member of the Cumberland County, Maine, New Hampshire, and American Bar Associations. Mr. Bopp is a member of the Maine State Bar Association's Bankruptcy & Reorganization Section, and a member of the American Bar Association Sections of Business Law and Law Practice Management. Mr. Bopp is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Bopp is a member of the Dartmouth Lawyers Association, and a former President of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Maine. He is also a trustee of the Bopp Family Charitable Foundation.
