Paul D Pietropaoli
 
Paul Pietropaoli is a shareholder and director of Perkins Thompson and current Chair of the Firm's Real Estate Department. Mr. Pietropaoli’ s practice focuses on a wide range of real estate matters, including commercial, industrial and residential real estate transactions. He also regularly advises clients on commercial lending, allocation of risk in complicated purchase and lease agreements, and o general business law.

For over fifteen years, Mr. Pietropaoli has worked extensively with owners of commercial and industrial properties, individual land owners, real estate brokers, and many businesses through the region in the successful purchase, sale and leasing of properties. In addition to negotiating purchase and sale agreements and lease agreements, he regularly advises clients on real estate, land use and environmental matters during the due diligence phase of mergers and acquisitions, in both asset and stock transactions. Mr. Pietropaoli also practices in the area of brownfields redevelopment, where he regularly works with clients to minimize their liability risks, including those relating to environmental issues. Mr. Pietropaoli is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. He has also served as an instructor for the Maine chapter of the American Institute of Banking. He is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, and New Hampshire, and with the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. Prior to joining Perkins Thompson, Mr. Pietropaoli server as the law clerk to Hon. Caroline D. Glassman, Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of Maine.
