John Ciraldo has recently been selected by the judges of the United States District Court for the District of Maine to be the Portland representative on the newly created Criminal Justice Act ("CJA") Panel Committee. This Committee will be responsible for establishing qualifications for CJA attorneys in the District of Maine and deciding on panel selection. The Committee will also provide training to attorneys on the panel. CJA attorneys are those appointed by the federal court to represent indigent defendants in federal criminal cases.
