Jason is Of Counsel to the Firm and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Maine and Massachusetts, as well as state courts in Rhode Island.  His practice areas include complex litigation, bankruptcy, commercial real estate, and general corporate representation.  He has represented a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to “mom and pop” businesses, in lawsuits, arbitrations, mediations and bankruptcy proceedings.  He has litigated cases involving unfair business practices, products liability, commercial lease disputes, intellectual property and employment litigation, among other claims.

As a real estate attorney, he has represented commercial landlords, developers and tenants in hundreds of transactions, including conveyances and leases of office, retail and industrial properties, both in New England and around the country.  He also regularly assists clients with general corporate matters, including business formations, dissolutions, and contracts, including vendor, franchise, service, licensing and employment agreements.

Prior to joining Perkins Thompson, Jason was a Partner with Pond North LLP, a national litigation firm; in-house counsel for Cummings Properties, a Massachusetts real estate management company; and  litigation and real estate counsel at Goulston Storrs, a prominent Boston law firm.

Jason lives in Norwell, Massachusetts, with his wife, Jess, and two kids, Nick and Abbie.  He was born and raised in Maine, where he still has a large extended family.  When not traveling with family or goofing around outside with his kids, his interests include politics, home renovations, fitness training, and rugby union, which he played for decades before semi-retiring a few years ago.
