During her Juris Doctor studies she interned at the Maine Human Rights Commission, investigating employment discrimination complaints; interned at a multinational financial services corporation, where she focused on topics including cyber security, contracts, financial institution regulations and COVID-19 impacts; held editorial positions on (and published in) the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal, which covers legal issues in marine resource regulation, coastal zone management, environmental protection, and other areas of seashore and ocean use; and worked as a Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic student attorney, as well as a Perkins Thompson summer associate.

Prior to law school, Katherine worked as a paralegal assistant in a large law firm providing legal support to business group attorneys. For some seven years Katherine was a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine.
